Sulaymaniyah, Iraq - May 24, 2025 - Asiacell, the leading telecommunications company in Iraq, held its general assembly meeting on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Sulaymaniyah. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Faruk Mustafa Rasool, the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Shareholders unanimously approved all items listed on the agenda.
The Key decisions taken during the meeting included approval of the Board of Directors’ report, Auditor’s report, the company's financial statements for the fiscal year 2024, and appointment of an external auditor to review and audit the company's 2025 accounts. The Board also approved 150% cash dividends distribution of the capital at 1.5 Iraqi dinars per share, to be paid to all the shareholders listed in the Company’s shareholders’ register on the day the General Assembly meeting held, pursuant to Article (4) of Regulation No. (25) of 2024 passed by the Iraqi Securities Commission.
This distribution rate is exceptional compared to previous years, reflecting the company's financial performance in 2024, in addition to the Company’s available cash balance and accumulated surplus that have made this year's distributions be exceptional.
