Asas Description

ASAS is the latest platform designed by Asiacell to target the entrepreneurial youth. It is a digital portal that encompasses all the initiatives created by Asiacell. The platform offers an array of resources spanning business development, self-development, and educational initiatives in an accessible, user-friendly interface. It also updates regularly to notify users of the workshops created by Asiacell and its partners. UNDP, KAPITA, the Station, Orange Corners, as well as the rest of Asiacell’s partners are all hosted in one place for the youth to choose the programmes that appeal to their needs at their convenience.

You can learn about the programmes under ASAS’s umbrella in the list below:

  • Chatterbox is a unique informal platform to freely share ideas to accelerate the development of businesses and the community at large.
  • ScaleUp Academy is a program that supplies excellent business consultancy, training and many workshops that help the youth, start-ups, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Kapita’s Business Meetups is a space that offers open dialogue sessions about business opportunities and sharing ideas that would contribute to Iraq’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Five One Labs events in which local business owners and volunteers were offered the opportunity to meet and network.
  • Orange Corners program taught about entrepreneurship in an elaborate boot camp that focused on how to manage a business from the basics to a more professional level.
  • Memorandum of partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to achieve their goal of the partnership to provide job opportunities for unemployed youth also to support Iraq’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
  • I’dad program aims to train new graduates, students, start-ups and entrepreneurs, and teach them the method of design thinking to solve problems and overcome obstacles, as well as learn the basics of business conduct.
  • TEDx is a conference where many inspiring speakers present of their inspirational ideas and speak about their exceptional experiences to attendance.
  • Advertising Photography Skills Workshop included engaging workshops around different subjects that benefit the youth, such as the principles of preparing and presenting TV programmes, authoring a journalistic article and photography skills.
